016 - All On My Own
[Seven stands in the dining hall. She's alone and the kitchen is closed behind her.] Despite repeated requests for assistance in the kitchen, there are now officially no other members of staff for lunch-time.
As such, the kitchen will be closed during these times until I get the assistance I require to feed approximately one hundred individuals.
Thank you.
[She's serious. There's only fruit and blood (and possibly Quarian nutrients ) available with the usual tea and coffee stuff.]

I may reconsider after a month or two, but for now, two meals a day will be sufficient for most. For special cases, I would be willing to speak with the individuals involved.

At any rate, I'd like to request full rations for my inmate, Roy Slater.

These are positions designed to assist the inmates. There are approximately fifty inmates on board. Not all of them can be employed.
Your impression is accurate, however, you seem to miss that they are employed as supervisors. If you wish for such a position, that is your prerogative, however there are sufficient supervisors for the kitchen.
Your request is unnecessary. We are not rationing at this juncture. We are not lacking in supplies, there will be fruit available, we are lacking in labour and it defeats the purpose of the labour if the wardens are doing it.
If the situation does not improve, I will re-evaluate. As it stands, however, I do not require your assistance at this time.

I understand your position, but I believe maintaining the well-being of our community is of greater moral importance than the occupational therapy provided by the job, particularly if there are lacking inmates to benefit from said therapy.
Once more, I would like to request that my inmate, Roy Slater, be given three full meals a day. He earns his keep, ma'am.

I find your assumption that I am willing to risk the health of the inmates insulting.
Your request is denied.

I see.
In that case, I would like to requisition sufficient provisions to provide my inmate with a daily lunch myself.
